At IFA 2026 in Berlin this week, Anker pulled the wraps off a new proprietary AI audio chip called THUS, built into two new Soundcore models: the Space 2 Pro over-ear headphones and the Liberty Buds 2 earbuds. Both are scheduled to go on sale on September 22, 2026, starting in the US. Here's exactly what Anker announced, and what Kenyan buyers who want ANC headphones today can already get from trewrld.
What Anker Announced at IFA 2026
The headline feature across Anker's new lineup is the THUS AI chip, which the company says powers an 8-sensor array for more precise adaptive active noise cancellation and clearer calls by separating your voice from background noise in real time.
Soundcore Space 2 Pro (over-ear headphones): built around the THUS chip, Anker quotes up to 30 hours of battery life with ANC on, or 60 hours with it off. US price at launch: $200. Release date: September 22, 2026.
Soundcore Liberty Buds 2 (in-ear earbuds): also carries the THUS chip and an 8-sensor array for clearer calls in noisy environments. US price at launch: $130, releasing the same day.
Anker has not yet announced an official Kenyan or East African release date or price for either model. New Anker audio launches typically take several months to arrive through official channels after their US debut, and buying grey-market units early usually means paying a steep import markup with no local warranty.
The Smarter Buy in Kenya Right Now
If you don't want to wait months for the Space 2 Pro or Liberty Buds 2 to officially land, trewrld already stocks Soundcore models built around the same core idea — hybrid active noise cancellation with genuine warranty-backed stock in Nairobi.
The Space Q45 uses a 3-stage hybrid ANC system that individually targets low, mid, and high-frequency noise — a genuinely useful feature for Nairobi's matatu horns and open-plan offices. The Liberty 4 NC earbuds are rated to cut noise by up to 98.5%, making them a solid ANC earbud option at a fraction of the Liberty Buds 2's US price, and both are in stock today rather than on a September 22 pre-order list on the other side of the world.
FAQ
When will the Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro or Liberty Buds 2 be available in Kenya?
Anker has not announced an official East Africa release date. Past Soundcore launches have typically reached authorized Kenyan retailers several months after the US debut.
Is the Soundcore Space Q45 as good as the new Space 2 Pro?
The Space Q45 doesn't have Anker's new THUS AI chip, but it already delivers 3-stage hybrid ANC and strong call quality, and it's available in Nairobi today with local warranty support — a dependable option while the newer model makes its way to Kenya.
Can I pay with M-Pesa for Soundcore headphones at trewrld?
