Marshall has shrunk its party speaker. The new Bromley 150, announced on September 29, is the smallest and most portable model in the Bromley family, packing 360 degree sound, stage lighting, two mic and instrument inputs and a swappable battery into a 6.3kg box.
It costs $499.99 in the US, with pre-orders open on marshall.com and retail sales starting October 13. Here is what it offers, what it would likely cost to get one to Nairobi, and which Marshall speakers you can already buy in Kenya today.
What Marshall actually announced
The Bromley 150 sits below the Bromley 450 ($799.99) and the flagship Bromley 750 ($1,299.99). It keeps the family's True Stereophonic 360 sound, which spreads audio around the cabinet rather than beaming it in one direction, so people standing anywhere around it hear a balanced mix.

Inside is a 6.5 inch woofer, two 2 inch full-range drivers and a 7.5 inch passive radiator, driven by one 90W amplifier for the woofer and two 55W amplifiers for the full-range drivers. Marshall rates it at 97dB at one metre with a 40Hz to 20kHz frequency range.

The features that matter for a Kenyan party
- Mic and guitar inputs. Two XLR/6.3mm combo jacks with their own volume controls turn it into a small PA for karaoke nights, a church youth event, a birthday speech or an acoustic set.
- A battery you can swap. The LiFePO4 pack pops out, and spare batteries are sold separately (listed at €99.99 in Europe) and fit all three Bromley models. For an outdoor event where there is no socket, or when a power cut hits mid-party, a second battery keeps the music going.
- IP55. It shrugs off dust and splashes, which suits garden parties, rooftop hangouts and a drizzle during the short rains. It is not built to be dunked in a pool.
- Repairable parts. Corner caps, handle, front grille, knobs and the battery lid are all replaceable, a real plus for a speaker that will get carried around a lot.

What it could cost in Kenya
Marshall has not announced Kenyan pricing or an East African launch date. At current exchange rates, the $499.99 US price works out to roughly KES 65,000 before shipping and import duties, so a landed price will be higher. Its 6.3kg weight also makes it a heavier item to ship than a typical Bluetooth speaker.
If you want the Bromley 150 specifically, it only goes on general sale on October 13, so it makes sense to wait for real stock and pricing. If you want Marshall sound for this December's gatherings without waiting, two proven portables are already available through trewrld.
The Marshall speakers you can get in Kenya now
Marshall Kilburn III (KES 42,000) is the closest thing to a smaller Bromley: True Stereophonic 360 sound, 50+ hours of playtime, IP54 protection, tactile bass and treble knobs, and it can charge your phone over USB-C. It lacks the mic inputs and stage lights, but at 2.8kg it is far easier to carry to the coast.
Marshall Emberton III (KES 23,500) is the grab-and-go option: 32+ hours of battery, a full IP67 dust and waterproof rating (1m for up to 30 minutes) and a built-in microphone for calls. It suits picnics, road trips and small rooms rather than a full party.
