iPhone Duo. iPhone, unfolded.

iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone. Closed, it is a pocket sized phone with a 5.4 inch display. Open it, and a 7.6 inch screen appears, 50 percent larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max, in what Apple calls the thinnest iPhone ever. It is a phone on the matatu, a tablet in the meeting and a cinema on the sofa, all in one titanium body.

Titanium, folded with precision.

iPhone Duo is built from grade 5 titanium with a mirror polished finish. The hinge has more than 100 components, supports the centre of the display so it lies flat, and closes with a magnet array. Unfolded it measures just 5.2 mm thick, folded 11.3 mm, and it weighs 254 grams. Ceramic Shield 2 protects the outer screen with 3 times better scratch resistance than before, and IP68 water resistance means a Nairobi downpour is no drama.

Two displays. One beautiful shape.

The 7.6 inch inner display has a matte nano-texture finish that minimises the crease, and the 5.4 inch outer display shares the same aspect ratio, so apps look right on both. Each has ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always On, the Dynamic Island and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness outdoors, bright enough for the midday sun on Kenyatta Avenue.

Two apps, side by side

iOS 27 is made for the big screen. Split View lets you open two apps side by side on iPhone for the first time, so you can keep WhatsApp open next to your spreadsheet, or two Safari windows next to each other. Save your favourite app pairs and switch in a tap.

Pro cameras, on both sides.

The 48MP Fusion Main camera has an integrated optical quality 2x Telephoto and sensor shift stabilisation, joined by a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide with macro photography. Record 4K at 120 fps in Dolby Vision. A Center Stage camera sits on the outside, and a new FaceTime camera hides under the inner display. New modes made for the fold, including Duo Preview, Smart Take and Duo FaceTime, make the most of both screens.

A20 Pro. Power that lasts.

A20 Pro is built on a 2 nanometre process with a 6 core CPU, a 7 core GPU and a dual 16 core Neural Engine, cooled by a custom vapour chamber. Apple rates it for up to 35 percent better sustained performance than iPhone 17 Pro. Dual batteries give up to 24 hours of typical use, up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours on the outer display. Charge to 50 percent in around 20 minutes with a 60W adapter, or around 30 minutes with MagSafe or Qi2.

Two finishes. Up to 2TB.

Choose Night Sky or Star White, in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB or 2TB. Touch ID in the side button unlocks it in a moment, and Camera Control puts the camera under your thumb. Protect it with the Apple designed iPhone Duo Case or the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand.

eSIM only. Here is what that means in Kenya.

iPhone Duo is activated with eSIM and does not take a physical SIM card. Apple says removing the tray frees space for more battery.
