Which JBL Charge should you buy?
JBL Charge Essential (from KES 7,500): The budget entry point — IPX7 waterproof, a built-in power bank, and up to 20 hours of playtime with a USB-A charging port and Bluetooth 4.1.
JBL Charge Essential 2 (from KES 8,500): Same 20-hour battery and IPX7 rating as the original Essential, upgraded to a faster USB-C charging port and Bluetooth 5.1 for a more stable connection.
JBL Charge 5 (from KES 19,500): The long-running flagship Charge — IP67 waterproof and dustproof, 40W of JBL Original Pro Sound, and up to 20 hours of playtime with power bank functionality.
JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi SE (from KES 25,000): Adds Wi-Fi streaming (AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Alexa Multi-Room Music) plus Auracast for pairing multiple Auracast-enabled JBL speakers, on top of the Charge 5's core sound and 20-hour battery.

JBL Charge 6 (from KES 21,700): The newest Bluetooth-only Charge — steps up to 45W of output, IP68 waterproofing (submersible to 1.5m), and up to 24 hours of playtime.

Which Charge speakers support Wi-Fi streaming? Only the Charge 5 Wi-Fi and Charge 5 Wi-Fi SE support Wi-Fi — both stream via AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, and Alexa Multi-Room Music. The standard Charge 5, Charge 6, and both Essential models are Bluetooth-only.
What does the Wi-Fi SE add over the regular Charge 5? Auracast support, which lets you pair the Wi-Fi SE with other Auracast-enabled JBL speakers for wider stereo sound.
