Battery that lasts past lunch and the evening commute matters when power is unreliable, and the Surface Laptop 8 is built for that kind of day. The 3:2 screen suits Excel, Word and long email threads, and the camera helps on Teams and Zoom calls with clients in Westlands or abroad.
Who It's Ideal For
- Consultants, lawyers and finance professionals who live in Office apps.
- Students who need a light laptop with long battery life.
- Remote workers who take many video calls.
- Anyone who wants a premium Windows laptop with a touchscreen.
Who Should Consider Something Else
- Gamers and heavy 3D users; this is a thin Arm-based laptop, not a gaming machine.
- Buyers who need every legacy Windows app to run natively, as some older software may need testing on Arm.
Pros
- Bright 120Hz 3:2 touchscreen.
- Light aluminium build at 1.34 kg.
- Up to 20 hours video battery.
- Facial recognition sign-in.
Cons
- Premium price compared with standard business laptops.
- Arm processor may not suit every legacy app.
If you prefer macOS, compare it with our MacBook Air M5 13-inch. For a lower-priced Windows business option, look at the HP ProBook 4 G1i, which trades the premium screen and build for a lower price.
"I've bought many items from here over the years, phones, laptops. The products are of quality, durable and affordable." — Diana Chore, Google review
